Join us for an eco-friendly shopping experience right here in Rockford! Browse gently used fall & winter clothing and take what you love — totally FREE. On-site mending & tailoring will be available (for a small fee). No clothing donations accepted from the public - we have a group of swappers setting up at 3pm who are providing great items for you to pick from. Bring a friend, refresh your closet, and support sustainable fashion in your community. See you there!
This is not a class - there will not be a teacher instructing step-by-step. However, I will be there if you need help getting started on your project! Please bring something to mend and any supplies you need. The Scrap Jar also has secondhand mending supplies available for purchase if you don’t have your own. All ages are welcome, but children should come along with a caregiver. This event is drop-in style; feel free to come whenever you are able within the time frame.
No registration required. $5 freewill donation appreciated.
